How do we clean the head of a tape drive of a tape recorder/player or the cartridge tape driver head of a computer (with cartridge drive)? A radio mechanic cleaned the driver-head with spirit using cotton. Later, the drive worked properly. I heard there are some tapes that clean the drives of a tape recorder/player by running that tape. How is this possible?
Also, my computer, printer, modem became dirty. What liquid can I use to clean their body? Is it safe to use any petroliquids?

Put some windex up there and then clean with a paper towel.
You can remove the case from the recorder.Run the unit and use your finger nail to clean off the debris from the wheel. For your hard drive clean it off with compressed air.You can buy it in a spray can.
