I still feel really silly, that the leaf “bug” wigged me out. Not that the leaf would stop me from watching. I am totally addicted to watching you guys. I adore queing. I love that you guys are so laid back. That is what BBQ is all about. At least for me it is.
Well, my bug phobia was just exposed. I rewatched it and clearly you were right.
That is just a leaf blown by the wind..
Look at around 5:40 what the heck, look to the left of the barbque on the ground!! See the size of that bug??? That thing is HUGE and FAST.
Shrieeeeek!

If Im hangin em’ in the sun I usually cover the beef up with cheese cloth so that the mosquito’s/fly’s cant get to them.

Now thats a beef jerky recipe.
you really should try this recipe.
I do a few things differently.
I use a food dehydrator, and liquid smoke.
I also use a small amount of teriyaki sauce and a heaping teaspoon of fresh garlic in addition to the garlic and onion powder.
Other than that its the same damn recipe and its AMAZING jerky.
I sprinkle black and red pepper all over each piece before I turn on the dehydrator.
I also marinade for about 20 hours with the meat almost fully submerged.
lol well back then the flies and mosquitos werent flyin around with ebola and west nile… have fun with that
thanks man, ive been buying packages of it at teh store… jack links stuff, but now that u showed me how to do it
well that is a lot of work .. i salt the meat up and just hang it out in the sun until it drys up old west style ..
thank you pleace send sam of that to sweden a loving it do you want my adress
@Tunnelfish I’ve read somewhere that people can make them in the oven on low setting. Some even leave a little crack open to lower the temp.
I live in an apartment and can’t barbecue.
So if I do this in an electric stove, need I open the door every now and then to allow moisture to escape?
i just made this and im eating it while watching!
if you cut it half frozen its much nicer to cut and slices thinner!
You’re suggestions on using deer? I have had deer jerky before. But never made it myself. PS almost all recipes I have seen involved, as posted before, Jack Daniels. Not saying it is wrong, but is it, or any alcoholic liquor needed?
Not saying I am going to try jerky with 3 Olives grape….
